Canon ImageClass D1150

If you run an office or small business, you probably go through a large amount of copies in a given day. Speed is generally a requirement when it comes to selecting a copier, as you don’t want to stand around the copy machine all day, waiting for the copy to be produced. One option for your office needs it the Canon imageClass D1150. It isn’t the most state of the art copier, but for general needs, it more than exceeds what you need the copier to do.

The first thing you need to know about the Canon D1150 is that it is a black and white laser copier. This means it does not produce color copies. You need to look elsewhere if this is a strict requirement. However, it does produce up to 30 pages-per-minnute, or one page every two seconds. The copier also is capable of holding an entire ream of 500-sheet paper. This is going to reduce the number of times you need to refill the paper compartment. You can also insert up to 50 sheets of large scale paper into the multipurpose tray. This allows you to print poster sized documents at any time you choose. Additionally, you can copy color documents with the Canon hardware, which in turn reproduces the image and information in gray scale.

Built into the rear of the Canon copier is an Ethernet port card. This allows you to network the equipment for printing directly from all the computers on your network. In order to perform this task, you must connect an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port card on the copier, and then insert the opposite end into the “Out” port on the Ethernet network card. Any computer directly connected to the network card is now able to print using the Canon imageClass D1150. For smaller businesses that don’t have an Ethernet network, you can directly connect a single computer to the equipment using a USB 2.0 cable.
